Camino Portugues day 0: Lisbon

I have been waiting two years for this moment. Finally, it has arrived.

Spent the whole day in airports. Flew from Tallinn to Milan, changed terminals and headed to Lisbon. The metro ride to the city went really fast and is quite cheap actually.

I’m using a 70L backpack for this journey so I could nicely fit a sleeping bag, hiking sticks and all the other essentials inside. The total weight of the backpack & clothes is under 8kg without food or water.

I already had some issues in Lisbon when my hostel was pushing me to cancel and I had to find a new place after arriving in the country. For the rest of this journey I will be staying in pilgrim cottages. The first come, first serve principle is much simpler for a pilgrim.

First thing tomorrow morning, I am heading down to Lisbon Cathedral as the official starting point to begin my journey.
