Camino Portugues day 17: Marinhas to Carreço (29,6km)

My last night in Portugal.

I was lucky to start my day just after the heavy rainfall finished. The early morning hike was amazing. In the picture you can see a mountain trail going around and across a river to a village on the other side. I really miss mountain hiking.

The rest of the day was on hard surface roads. At least there were very few cars. I was able to listen to music safely, which is always a bonus.

Music made the day super fun. I was singing and using my sticks to beat rhythm while hiking. The road went by so quickly that I had my fastest hiking day so far. Time flies when you are having fun.

My legs hurt a lot when arriving. The albergue here had a small pool where I dipped my feet in for an hour and enjoyed the sun. It was fun to see horses and sheep moving around the yard casually with pilgrims there.

Tomorrow will be a short day, so I can recover well. Spain is waiting.
