Yes, I am still going onwards. This was probably the coldest day on the Camino. The maximum temperature for the day was only +19. It was cloudy, then foggy, then mushroom rain and finally proper rainfall. My feet were soaking wet the last few kilometers.
While I wanted to do the day slowly, but watching the weather report, I started early once again. Did my best to get some distance done before the rain. Pretty much all day was on asphalt, so the going was fast. Since the distance was not that long, then my feet did not mind much.
This short 20km was a lovely experience. Did not do any longer breaks, but just a couple of short ones. I have a lot of time on my hands now to focus more on getting my feet in absolutely perfect condition once more. Not that I plan on pushing long distances anymore, but I do want to be able to walk around when I am back home too.
The first time I did this hike to Finisterre it took me 3 days. The second time was 4 days. This time I am taking a detour through Muxia first and it will take me 6 days. Three days of these are spent by the ocean (maybe even a fourth one on my way back).
Very happy to have had the time for this extra hike. It would not be a proper Camino for me without, at least for a moment, seeing the lighthouse in Finisterre.
