Camino Frances day 29: Dumbria to Muxia (22,04km)

Quite a short walking day. Like all the days since Santiago, it is mostly on hard road surfaces and that gives more shock and micro-injuries to feet. Today was the first time I had felt like it was time I finished with hiking and took proper rest days.

Tomorrow there should be a 33km hike, but instead I will take a bus to Fisterra. I doubt my feet would like to walk that far anymore. Then after tomorrow I will take 2 days to walk backwards from Fisterra to Muxia. This way I can stop halfway and still be able to enjoy all of the hiking route.

To be honest, my feet just want time off walking longer than 10km. Therefore, I will spend almost all of next week back here in Muxia just taking tiny walks and spending time on the beach like normal people do on vacation.

I will hike a total of 900+km this Camino. Not what my maximum goal was, but I will achieve my middle goal of walking the Santiago-Muxia-Finisterre route all on foot. Absolutely my best Camino yet!

I am not sad that my feet are worn out. It is something I expected to happen sooner or later. There are no injuries so I should be recovering quite fast. Time to make the best of what this summer still has to offer.
