First thing I wanted was to get the stamp from Rapla church. By midday I was ready to continue hiking. The heavy rain for the day had passed. There was still a little rain every now and then, but nothing too bad. A thermos full of hot tea kept me cozy for the day.
I am very satisfied with how the trail is going now. Going out of Rapla there were bits and pieces of natural terrain walking, but until Kuusiku village the main part was alongside a pedestrian road. From Kuusiku village to Koikse village you had peaceful nature walking. First along the riverside, then over a wooden bridge, flowing through farmlands and finally along a former railway.
Koikse village bus station was the perfect spot for a late lunch with warm tea. The trail went away from the highway into a nature reserve towards Jalase village and then back towards the highway. There was one unchained dog that kept barking and following me, but nothing too bad.
As soon as the trail connected back to the highway I found my bus stop and started heading back home. With a little warmer weather or a second thermos full of tea, longer distances would be possible.
