Camino Estonia day 7: Kaguvere – Kivi-Vigala (20km)

Beautiful sunny day for a hike. It did not feel as cold as yesterday anymore and snow is starting to melt fast. Hopefully it will be at least half a year until the next snowfall.

In the morning I got my stamp from Märjamaa congregation house. It seems that I should stop waiting for Sunday church cervices every week and call the local offices instead. At most places on this Camino they can even provide you with accommodation at any day of the week.

I took the local bus back to Kaguvere bus station and had to make a choice: either I do the normal Camino or the nature hike variant. I chose the main trail as it is faster, dryer and warmer. The nature hike variant might be best for a hot Summer day.

The official route had a ton of nature and silent countryside moments.

From Kaguvere to Konuvere you follow the local bus route. This car road has almost no traffic and is very peaceful with forest on both sides.

Konuvere stone bridge was a great location for a cup of tea and some quick rest. There is a busy highway close by that you will need to cross.

From Konuvere to Päärdu the trail uses natural terrain to cross a large forest section. You cross the busy highway once more and then it’s just the last stretch into Kivi-Vigala.

I was making real good pace today. Although I had planned to do a shorter day, I decided to push myself and ran the last few kilometers. I did not have much time left until the last busses leave Kivi-Vigala.

I was so out of breath once I arrived that I did not pay much attention to the surroundings. I guess, I will explore a bit once I am back there and hopefully get a stamp from the local church.

This Camino seems to be getting better and better as distance from Tallinn grows and the weather becomes warmer in general. More and more time will be spent in the nature and that is what I enjoy the most.
