First two thirds were on natural terrain today. There was so much water standing still in the grasslands with cows. I had to change for dry socks already after 15km of walking. One of the bulls showed readiness to charge, so a little detour around the other cows helped.
Its nice to have a day with no clouds. I am getting sunburned though. I walked with long pants all day today because of yesterday. I had to put on a long sleeve shirt on a hot day as well. This made me consume way more water than usual.
Craziest part of the day was crossing barefoot downstream of a local water reservoir. The current was really strong and there were plenty of sharp rocks underneath. All the rocks were slippery too. It really makes me think that this Camino would be much easier if done with hiking sticks.
The natural hiking ended with a castle town called Galisteo. I used the chance to get some extra water from the supermarket and used the local bus station to rest from the sun.
Last 10km were completely on narrow car roads without any protective area. At least there was a village halfway to my destination so I had the chance for another bus station break. Overall the day went by super fast.
Once in Carcaboso, I immediately looked up where the nearest pharmacy is and got some sunblock for tomorrow. Now I can hike comfortably in shorts and t-shirt again.
